Under 21 Program

The Under 21 School Program accepts severely multiply disabled children and adolescents from public schools when they have not been able to find an appropriate placement in their schools. These students are tuitioned out by their neighborhood public school.

Students in North Center's Training Program receive a combination of educational and daily living skills. Physical, occupational and speech therapy, family support, recreational and community experiences, pre-vocational and vocational training and nursing services are all designed individually to meet each individual's specific needs. Individuals range from persons who function in the severe/profound range to persons who function in the moderate intellectual range. Individuals who are totally dependent physically, to those who have no physical involvement at all. Group activities are planned with all individuals in mind. Each person participates at his or her own level and rate of learning.
